Our Osteopaths have all undertaken a 5-year, University Masters degree to achieve registration in Australia. 

All of our practitioners have a minimum of 2 years clinical experience, are government registered and accredited and are members of Australia's leading professional bodies, Osteopathy Australia and AAMT

Dr Kelley Mumford is the practice principal and director at Keilor Health Centre.

Kelley began her study into the health sciences in 1997, and has been passionate about improving musculoskeletal health ever since, with over 15 years of clinical experience in assessing, treating and diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions. Kelley's impressive history of Osteopathic practice extends throughout metropolitan and regional practice in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

After gaining experience throughout different practices in Australia, Kelley decided that it was the community she grew up in, that she could offer the best service and support to. Likewise, all of the practitioners and staff at Keilor Health Centre live locally, and know this community well.

Kelley practises part time, around managing and directing the practice and caring for her young family. Kelley has an interest in pregnancy related musculoskeletal conditions, children's musculoskeletal conditions, pelvic conditions, chronic injury and injury prevention strategies.

 

Dr Mathew Romans van Schaik - Registered Osteopath

Mathew completed his osteopathic studies at RMIT University and practiced in rural Victoria before joining Keilor Health Centre. Mathew is available over 4 days a week, including evenings. Mathew brings a wealth of experience in injury management strategies as well as training and conditioning for a variety of acute and chronic sporting disciplines such as martial arts, tennis, marathon running and football.

Mathew takes great interest in providing a thorough assessment and enjoys treating and managing complicated sporting injuries. Rehabilitation, prognosis and planning are the key focus of Mathews consultation. Mathew believes that in order to reach our maximum potential we need to achieve our best possible alignment and optimise muscle and joint mechanics.

Childhood and adolescent musculoskeletal injuries are conditions Mathew knows  well from experience and are an interest of his. This has influenced him to be involved with the wider sporting community, working closely with local sporting clubs, athletic clubs, personal trainers and gym enthusiasts to develop programs tailored to each athlete’s individual needs for rehabilitation.

Mathew is an enthusiastic and personable osteopath who is driven and focused on helping his patients towards their health goals. He believes that nutrition can enhance physical performance, recovery and general well being. Mathew may be able to provide nutritional advice in addition to injury management and conditioning plans.

Mathew maintains his own level of physical fitness to enable him to meet the physical demands of his occupation and to keep current with 'up to date' and appropriate exercises and activities. He is a dedicated and well disciplined martial arts instructor, an accomplished runner and skier. Mathew also attends his local cross fit gym numerous times a week!

David is a qualified and experienced Myotherapist and remedial massage therapist. David is available for appointments both during weeknights and Saturdays.

David utilises a wide variety of modalities to try and help his patients achieve their desired health outcome. Deep tissue massage, stretching, cupping, dry needling, MET and mobilisation are amongst techniques David employs.

David believes having a work/life balance is of the highest importance. For some people, their busy, hectic and often stressful lifestyles can leave little room to consider our own health and well being. Regular massage may be able to help reduce muscular tension and pain.

David is experienced and trained and aims to help you develop strategies and treatment plans which address your goals. David provides you with a thorough consultation and treatment which aims to detect and focus on the underlying cause/s for your complain or condition. David aims to provide the best in remedial and rehabilitation care for those suffering from both acute and chronic pain conditions.

The most commonly treated conditions by a myotherapist include neck and back pain, some headaches, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, shin splints, knee conditions, as well as preventative care.
